Feb 8th, 2010 | By nicolas | Category: Aktuell

Gents-

Thank you very much for the kind words and wishes.

It is interesting to have all of you get a glimpse of the “other 75%” of my daily life!

Yes- the site is legitimate- and the effort is a serious one. This process started as a dinner conversation with close friends and advisers back in November of 2008, and it has been a long and fascinating road to this point! The decision to enter the public arena in Nevada was a serious one that required some very intense soul searching to ensure it is the right decision for me and for my family.

I have been neck-deep in the process since April, however and I am eager for the next few months ahead! For those of you unfamiliar with my state- Nevada has suffered an extraordinary crisis of leadership the past few years- and it has devastated many people’s lives to a degree that may never be un-done. Some folks run from a disaster- but in this case I am putting myself smack in the middle of things in hope that my participation will be beneficial.

It will be a tough road ahead- but it is a road that I am willing to travel.

A few of you expressed some concern about the potential impact to the 737NG and the 777 that are currently in development: I assure you that these development timelines were built with my campaign in mind. The PMDG team has grown dramatically during the past two years- and we have expanded our team, our capabilities, our business offerings and our operational control significantly. Yes- there will be times when I fall behind in my own work, but likely no more so than when I was flying the line. (And I’ll have Vin and Dr. Vaos keeping me in line… Don’t underestimate them!)

As I have been saying for a few years, the PMDG development team is much bigger than any one developer!

Ryan asked earlier in the thread if we could please keep any discussion of political views out of this arena. I would like to second that sentiment, as this is not the proper time or place for such conversation as it will only apply to a very small minority of PMDG customers.

If you are interested to learn more about the campaign- and what it is like- perhaps we will set up an area specifically for those so-interested… I’ll have to give that some thought.

Now- if any of you are fellow Nevadans and you want to get involved: Please drop me a PM via the forum and I’ll fill you in on how to help out- or where you might get a chance to give me your thoughts and input on the direction of Nevada.

If any of you (US Citizens only!) feel so inclined: Political Contributions from individuals are the grease that keeps any campaign going forward- and it would be wonderful to have such backing from members of this community. (You can find the contribution page on the campaign website under the CONTRIBUTIONS tab.)

If any of you do contribute- be sure to let me know by PM via this forum so that I can find a way to thank you personally!

Again gents- thanks for the kind words- I’ll keep you posted on how things progress.
